These prints were originally created for an ice cream shop. I was wondering if the bliss of eating ice cream might teach us something about violence, vulnerability, and our shared humanity. These "mouths" are the result.
All of the imagery and text for the Tender mouth tissue series are sourced from the vintage type collection at Flower City Arts Center. I letterpress printed the imagery and text, cut up and arranged the prints, then risographed each collage.
