Aeriameter is an instrument for examining airborne specimens from the Chicago neighborhood Pilsen. Focused on air pollution from the Fisk Generating Station, I got curious about other kinds of phenomena that are invisible to the naked eye, but can fill a space and affect our bodies. Visitors can press the forward button, adjust tone and volume, and identify each slide in the accompanying guide.

Aeriameter was created during a residency at the Experimental Sound Studio (Chicago), with invaluable help from Alex Inglizian. It was also partially supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency. All pictures from its installation for the Artist Residency Program exhibit at ESS's Audible Gallery.
