recent/current/upcoming

Current:
Eliza Fernand curated Eating Sharp Fruit, a public access TV variety show exploring consumption, fear, and pleasure, airing on CAN TV in Chicago. Each episode has different animations and videos I've made from years past! You can watch it streaming on CAN TV's website, airing Wednesdays at 11pm Central Time.

I am currently a Printmaking and Book Arts resident at Flower City Arts Center in Rochester, NY. Stay tuned for many printed things!

Upcoming:
I am currently collaborating with Eric Larson, a professor and researcher of endangered and invasive species in aquatic ecosystems. Our process is supported by Sea Grant and documented by Formidable Entities, and our culminating project and videos of our conversations will appear in summer 2024.

Recent:
I created a drawn animation with hot breath and foggy plastic while sound artists Allen Moore and Nick Meryhew improvised. It was part of Elastro AV Fest at Elastic Arts in Chicago on October 15, 2023.

My animation Menstrual Cycle was included at the group show For Those Without Choice at Weinberg/Newton Gallery in Chicago from January 20 - April 15, 2023.

I performed "Maybe what the audience feels" as part of BeauTown Cabaret at Facility Theater in March 2023. Charlie Manion created sound for it, and you can watch an excerpt here.

As part of Roman Susan's Community-Hosted Art Collections, I've made a performative sculpture titled "Dishrag Mnemonic" which anyone in Chicago can sign up to host for 6 months.
