Projects > A Microscopic View of Invisible Things

2011
Drawn Animation & Performance

With the aid of a microscope, the air of the Mexican neighborhood of Chicago, Pilsen, is placed under scrutiny. Seemingly magnified, animations of tangible airborne materials - bacteria, pollen, particles of lead - are presented alongside specimens of experiences: odors, sounds, and emotions.

The animations from A Microscopic View of Invisible Things were adapted for Aeriameter.

This project is partially supported by a Community Arts Assistance Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
